"BUT there on VACATION!"

Cory and I were able to to get away and take a few days for a vacation. It was much more needed that we thought. if you read the last blog i posted...you know how busy Cory is, and how much is going on. so to be able to go away was AWESOME. and we had a blast. The Lord is awesome, and showed us so much on this trip, brought us even closer to each other, and showed us what we are really doing, and what its really all about, Change is coming! but for now...pictures! (some of them might be "you had to be there to get it" but trust us, we laughed...pretty much the whole time!!! it was great! we love you!

cory got the fastest lap!
So, we found a super good deal on a brunch on sunday morning...at this nice resturant...we are going to keep the name of the place unknown... :) we got there at 12...sat near this wonderful water, sun shinning! it was great...the place opened...and we went in line...with about 20 to 30 other people to be seated..turns out...you have to have reservations! so...we got on the list for a later time...and then went in played at REI (pictures to follow) when we got back, there was no line, we got seated right away, ordered a sweet tea and a water, and went to the buffet. there wasnt much food, so we just thought they were bringing more out, so we just got what they had and went and sat down, no biggie...then...we ate the food...some was good, some...welll...lets just say...if i didnt like chocolate before now....i realllllly dont like it now...chocolate filled bread thing...no thank you!!! We got back up to go see if they had put anything else out...nope...just people standing waiting just like us...then this tall man walks over, and looks at us, and i was like "HEY! we are just waiting on the food! " ITs over we ran out of food, go sit down and order an omelet" "wait so, there's no more brunch? its not over till 4...the foods gone?" "Yes, just go sit down, order an omelet. your waiter will take care of you"(we never even got a waiter, the sweet hostess had to do everything for us) so...we go and sit down...5 mins pass...10 mins pass...nothing...nothing at all, then a waiter goes by...and we ask for our check...then the tall man comes back and says, " i just brought out a beautiful lamb would you like it?" "no thank you, we are ready to go" "really? i am sorry, dont worry about paying." what?!?!?! super cool! we were really surprised! so we get up, and tip the hostess...cause she helped up the mostest. (hehe) and the tall man was standing by her, and he tells us to come back some other time, and she says is a sad/empathetic heart felt way "BUT THEY ARE ON VACATION!" it made us giggle, and i think she would be the only reason we would go back to the no food on the buffet place!
This was just a cool picture things..it looked alot differnt in person...but we like it. :)
He is cute. I like him.

We found an R.E.I Store...and we are now part of a CO-OP! The store was like a candy store to Cory. the bike he is "test driving" was about 1,800...so now he can say it road bike that was that much. :)

you see...Coldstones is where Cory took me on our "first" date...although, we count the walk the night before the first date. :) so...to end our super awesome fun mini vacation...we went to Coldstone!

MARCH!

OH GOODESS! What a month! We have learned so much! It's hard to know where to really start! Some know that we have been in the talking stages of moving out of Greenville, and out of North Carolina!!! There was also talk about joining back up in the Marines Corp. Well...We can say that all this is HAPPENING!!! As of right now...the plan is to move to New Bern, NC for the Summer, Starting sometime in the middle of May. We will be there until August. During that time...Cory will be working at Cherry Point! We went last Friday to sign the papers! I (Haley) am SO PROUD of Him. He worked really hard for this! I will be going to Wilmington some to spend time with the family, and there is a super good chance that we will also be working at a summer camp!!! Then...We are off to Va. Beach Virgina! Cory got into to Regent University. He has also work really hard for this too, and this was something that he wanted before we were dating! This season of our life has been pretty hard. We have learned and are learning alot of hard lessons, that no one really wants to learn...but the Lord wants to teach us...and even when some days, I (haley) struggle to get out bed...The Lord is super awesome! and SOOO faithful! and He makes each day new. and there is no one in the world other than my best friend Cory, that i would want to do life with. He makes it easier. I dont know if many people know how busy and hard he works...so i am going to celebrate him for a moment here in this blog. :) When Cory and I started dating he was in school part time and working full time. Over the summer (after we started dating) he felt like he needed to go to school full time, work part time, start the re-enlisting process for getting back in the USMC, and start working on seeing what needed to be done to get into Regent University...and on top of all this...planning a wedding with me. :) We started dating in June, four months later got married in October, and here we are five months later...AND ALL OF WHAT WAS PUT ON HIS HEART IS OR HAS COME TO PASS!!! THE LORD IS GOOD! He is in school full time...works his little tail off..comes home and studies till 1am, some nights 2 am, he works part time, and he has done all the stuff that needed to be done to get back in the USMC, and to get into Regent. He is AWESOME! and still while doing all this...He is still there for me, and still helps me, he still takes care of me, he still pushes me to be a better person. i love him...ALOT! So to sum this up...before pictures...

...its beautiful...no matter what it looks like.

ELLLLOOO world! So i know we havent updated much as of late. in fact, i am not sure when the last time we did an update...opps...sooo i will say this!! Christmas and New Years were AWESOME! its nice being married. we love it. there are lots of cool things going on. the Lord has been doing some major heart work in us. teaching us more about forgiveness, healing, and trust. its hard, and it hurts...but its is SO worth it. so with that, we have been listening to some teaching from this cool dude out of Bethel..named Kris Vallotton. (you should check him out.) and i read this last part of one his blogs, that hit pretty hard...but in the best way! super encouraging!!!
Hold on tight! The Lord is moving. and it is BEAUTIFUL. (NO MATTER WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE)
we love you!!!!
(i am also going to post some pictures soon...thank you all for who support us and pray for us. we need you, we love you. we appreciate you, more than you know!)

"Sometimes it's easy to think that God favors certain people, or that the situation that you are going through is somehow beyond God's ability to fix it. I know these feelings all too well. But the truth is that there is no situation that is impossible with God. One of my great heroes in life is Abraham Lincoln. He was a master at holding on to hope, and never giving up. His list of failures goes something like this: Defeated for state legislature, failed in business, sweetheart died, 1836 had nervous breakdown, 1838 defeated for Speaker, defeated for nomination for Congress, 1848 lost re-nomination. 1849 rejected for land officer, 1854 defeated for U.S. Senate, 1856 defeated for nomination for Vice President, 1858 again defeated for U.S. Senate, and finally 1860 elected president! Talk about a guy who knew how to get up when life knocked him down. Abraham just refused to lose hope.
Proverbs 29:18 says: Where there is no vision, the people perish. There is so much truth held inside of these eight words. Hopelessness is a dream killer. Without hope you can't have faith, and without faith the world is a miserable place to live. The truth is that when all seemed hopeless for Daniel in the lion's den, God saved him. When Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were thrown into the fiery furnace, Jesus himself set them free. When God found a man so bound with hatred that he was murdering Christians, Jesus encountered him on the road to Damascus and changed his name to Paul, transforming him into one of the greatest heroes of faith to have ever graced this planet. The stories go on and on of God's amazing ability to redeem any situation, or save any person.
There is no hand that can be dealt to you with which God is unable to win. There is nothing impossible for God. Whatever is happening in your life, remember this: Jesus is a master of making palaces out of pitfalls. It doesn't matter how far you have fallen, or how big a mess you've made out of your life, "He is able to do exceedingly and abundantly more than you ask or even think!" God specializes in the impossible!"

life update. :)

When we got married, we wanted to get people together, and eat dinner and read the bible, and talk about God, and life and such. Yesterday, was the 3rd bible study we have had, and it was awesome! we had fresh out of the oven pizza and cookies, and there was some hummus, (of couse. ) and some salsa, and some laughter and good talking about the Lord. We had a few new people come over, it was so refreshing! The Lord is so good! We are reading 1st John...its been a hard book to go through,(and we are only in the 2nd chaperter!!)  but its been awesome!! We love that people want to come over and just hang out, eat and read the bible with us.

The Lord has really been moving in our hearts personally pulling out all that nasty stuff no one wants to see or admit they have. While its been hard, and I (Haley) can't get though one day with out busting into to tears, Its been the best time I have had with the Lord in awhile. (and Cory has been awesome in all this, as we walk out this stuff as one, and not as two.) The life in both of us that was pushed down and covered up, and lost breath...is coming back up in us...and let me tell you, it is scary!!! Its also so exciting at the same time.  Letting the Lord get in your face, like He did with Adam and breath all up in your face...awesome!! The hunger in us is coming back up! its great!

Being married and being able to go through life with  your best friend is something we will both always be super thankful for.  Having that safe place, where you are going to be loved, no matter what, that this other person you share life with, is safe. and holds your heart, and holds you up in the Lord. BEST THING EVER! :)

Being able to do a bible with people, not leading, just providing the place and some dinner, has really helped us grow and stir the hunger and life back in us, even if just one person shows up, it stirs all of hearts up. and it gives glory to God.  We are thankful. Very thankful.

Thank you to all those who love us, and have been there for us, and pray for us, and laugh with us, and cry with us.  we love you. more than you know. thanks for sticking by us.
